The New American Home 2025
Visual Comfort & Co. collaborates on a luxury home outside Las Vegas
Visual Comfort & Co. was pleased to provide decorative, architectural and exterior lighting for The New American Home 2025, a new luxury residence in Henderson, Nevada. Built to showcase emerging trends and energy-efficient products (and timed to launch during the International Builders’ Show), this 9,047 square-foot three-level custom spec home draws upon its dramatic desert setting for interior and exterior inspiration. Our Las Vegas showroom lighting designer, Yeny Roa, worked with the home’s interior designer, Stephanie Osborn, to create and implement a detailed lighting plan that delivers comfort, convenience and performance at every turn.
Reflecting on the collaboration, Stephanie said, "The layers of Visual Comfort lighting in this home were carefully considered to elevate the experience of spending time here. A thoughtful lighting plan makes a home more comfortable, more beautiful and easier to enjoy. Yeny went room by room, giving lots of considerations and making resourceful suggestions. Ultimately, her changes to the lighting plan create a better visual experience in the home."
“Stephanie and I worked together to anticipate all the ways this house would be lived in, and designed accordingly,” Yeny said. “Great lighting should feel natural, but there's so much intention there, too. We consider the architecture, the activities that will take place in a space, the atmosphere and ambiance we hope to create. Ultimately, my job is to help translate the designer’s vision for the space, so that everyone can experience the home at its best.”
