ELEMENT RECESSED

Engineered for the Most Discerning Eye

ELEMENT is a modern interpretation of specification-grade downlighting, expertly engineered to deliver critically specified light for any environment. Since its inception, ELEMENT has been defined by the needs and requirements of the design community. Our goal is to design for you - to help you solve real lighting challenges. We accomplish that because what matters to you also matters to us.

Element LED Module

Our field-replaceable LED modules are built to last over 50,000 hours while delivering the highest quality light. The drivers that power each LED  provide deep dimming to 1% or less and are compatible with a wide variety of third-party dimmer controls.

Color Temperature

We offer numerous color temperature options to to suit a diverse set of needs and preferences.

Static White

Available as standard in 2700K, 3000K or 3500K. Inquire for custom color temperatures. Compatible with a wide range of dimmers, but does not change color temperature as it dims.

Warm Dim

As the LED dims, it warms in color temperature, much like an incandescent light bulb. Does not require any special controls other than a dimmer.

Tunable White

The color temperature can be controlled independently from the brightness. Available in two options 4000K-1800K and 5000K-2700K.  Available with 0-10V and DALI Controls.

Precision Optics

We have developed a series of custom designed optics to deliver clean, even illumination – from a very narrow 10° to a wide 60° and even up to 95° in the E4 Pro Series to be used for general illumination.

Multiple Aperture Sizes

Select the ideal size for your application.

2"

Ideal when a smaller aperture is preferred for the most minimal aesthetic while still offering great output and functionality.

3"

Small aperture downlights engineered with a broad set of features and housings to accommodate numerous specialty applications in both new construction and remodel applications.

4"

Ideal for maximum light output in environments with higher ceilings while still providing a small aperture, tailored aesthetic.

4" Pro

Available for high output and wide-angle general illumination.

Multiple Functions

Available in Adjustable, Fixed, and Wall Wash to direct the light precisely where needed, with aesthetically common trims.

Adjustable

Aims light toward the object or surface you are illuminating. It provides maximum flexibility to direct the light at the most critical focal points in the space.

Fixed

Most cost-effective option. Best used where adjustability is not needed now or in the future.

Wall Wash

Creates uniform flood of light with minimal hot spots or scalloping. Used to illuminate large art or multiple smaller pieces in the same space or to call attention to architectural details like fireplaces or wall hangings.

Architectural Grade Aiming Control

Create layers of light and highlight key elements in the space or specific task surfaces. Aiming the light at specific focal points establishes contrast, creating interest and depth. We call it “Painting a Space in Light”.

40˚ TILT, HOT-AIMING

Light can be aimed higher or lower through the vertical tilt adjustment. The center beam is maintained through the aperture. Most options incorporate tool-free tilt and lock making adjustments quick and easy.

361˚ ROTATION

Light can be aimed left or right through the horizontal rotation adjustment allowing the light to be placed exactly where it is needed even if the light fixture itself is not centered relative to the focal point. Tool-free, 361° of rotation ensures there are not any ‘dead’ spots that cannot be illuminated.

PATENTED HIGH-LOW LAMP POSITIONS

Patented High-Low Lamp Positioning allows easy tool-free adjustment for optimum light output. Simply pull the lamp closer to the ceiling for maximum output or push the lamp higher into the housing to reduce glare, minimize flash and achieve a Quiet Ceiling aesthetic.

Flanged & Flangeless Trims

Create layers of light and highlight key elements in the space or specific task surfaces. Aiming the light at specific focal points establishes contrast, creating interest and depth. We call it “Painting a Space in Light”.

FLANGELESS

Sits completely flush with the ceiling plane for a smooth transition delivering the ultimate  ‘Architectural’ appearance.

FLANGED

Has a thin ceiling ‘flange’ that sits on the surface of the ceiling. Provides easier installation.

STEP 1

Install housing to the ceiling joists with the adjustable steel hanger bars (shown below).

STEP 2

Mount wall board to ceiling and walls.

STEP 3

Attach plaster plate to aperture using supplied hardware.

STEP 4

Skim coat around the plaster plate and up to the aperture for a seamless appearance.

Plaster Plates

Rugged and durable, Plaster Plates ensure no seams, no cracks, no flexing when install flangeless trims.

DIE-CAST

SHEET METAL

The standard 3" aperture die-cast mud plate creates a tight, inflexible bond with the housing.

Ships standard on Element 3"

Sheet metal mud plates allow for less plaster feathering in tightly configured
downlight installations.

Ships standard on 2" and 4" housing and optional on 3" housings

Precision Die-Cast Architectural Trims

The trim plays a significant role in the ‘at the ceiling’ experience as it blends into the architecture of the space. No seams. No warping. No sagging.

True Flangeless Wood Ceiling Installation

ELEMENT wood ceiling housings allow a standard ELEMENT 3" flangeless trim to achieve a truly flangeless, flush ceiling appearance in special applications such as wood or stone.

Numerous Housings

A wide assortment of housings suit nearly any new construction or remodel project. Specialty housings allow for a unified look across the space regardless of what is happening above the ceiling.

LENSES AND LOUVERS

A wide selection of compatible lenses and optical controls designed to help tailor the performance to your exact specifications.

REFLECTORS

Optional specular reflectors reduce glare while creating a clean, quiet ceiling appearance.

Controls

Lighting is the only dynamic design element. By turning different lights on and off or dimming them at various levels, we completely change how we experience a space. The drivers that power our LED fixtures provide deep dimming to 1% or less and are compatible with a wide variety of third-party dimmer controls.
