Design Detour: Jenny Zalkin

At Fein Zalkin Interiors, Jenny Zalkin and her design partner Josh Fein draw upon south Florida’s diverse cultural fabric to incorporate everything from modern clean lines to classic Spanish influences in their projects. After the base layers are set, they bring in the extras: colorful coffee table books by Assouline, sisal and metal VERDI rugs from Colombia, woven and neoprene baskets and bougainvillea and elephant ear foraged right from their clients’ backyards.

In 2021, a waterfront ground-up construction in Ft. Lauderdale serves as the ultimate opportunity for the designers to flex their signature style, which Zalkin describes as “light, bright and neutral.”
