House Beautiful Whole Home 2018
The House Beautiful Whole Home Project: Atlanta

For the Whole Home Project concept home, House Beautiful enlisted some of Atlanta's best - builder Michael Ladisic, architect Linda D'Orazio MacArthur, kitchen-and-bath designer Matthew Quinn, and interior designer Sherry Hart - to prove that a home can be both smart and stunning. "Our lives are so hectic and we're constantly bombarded, so we decided to go with the simplest idea of a house," architect Linda D'Orazio MacArthur told House Beautiful. "We wanted it to be familiar." Tour the smart home filled with bright ideas and shop the lighting looks selected by the Whole Home team!

Matthew Quinn's inspiration for the kitchen was healthy and smart living. He even incorporated a grow room for fresh herbs year-round! Contemporary, geometric elements are found throughout, including the Osiris Large Reflector Chandelier and Osiris Single Reflector Sconce by Thomas O'Brien. The bright palette paves the way for a cohesive, inviting space with perfect proportions.

Designer Sherry Hart selected a pair of Lorford Smoke Bell Lanterns by E.F. Chapman for their captivating glow. The Mercury Glass finish offers shimmering warmth to the sunlit space.

Living Room
Hart layered warm neutrals, deep crimsons and peacock blues to give depth to the living room, featuring the Hargett Bridge Arm Floor Lamp by J. Randall Powers.
Mudroom
The mudroom was designed to be functional for all family members - especially the furry ones. The custom glass door features a hidden pet entrance. "I love that I could put my pup in here when she's muddy, close the half door, and know she's not behind a closed wall," Hart told House Beautiful. The Edmond Flush Mount by E.F. Chapman illuminates overhead.
Meditation & Fitness Room
The retro silhouette of the Sommerard Large Triple Arm Chandelier by AERIN extends the invitation to relax after a long day (or workout) in this serene, multi-purpose space.
