Remedy
A reimagined vision for Remedy’s Chicago office
The newly designed Arlington/Roe office in Indianapolis blends tradition with modernity, reflecting the family-owned insurance agency’s heritage and forward-thinking vision. Completed in 2022 by Parallel Design Group, the 22,000-square-foot space offers skyline views and a welcoming environment for employees returning to the office post pandemic. A spacious social hub with flexible furnishings and natural light fosters connection and productivity, while neutral flooring, warm wood tones and brass accents combine to create a timeless design that links the company’s legacy to its bright future.
A home away from home
Remedy envisioned a workplace combining the comfort of home with the style of Chicago’s Soho House. Moving beyond the typical corporate aesthetic, Unispace created an environment that embraced Remedy’s identity and culture. Key areas—collaboration rooms, cafés, a boardroom and reception area—were designed with textures, patterns, a mix of finishes and layered lighting to create a warm, inviting environment that remains highly functional.

Lighting that enhances the space
Careful lighting selections played a pivotal role in elevating the architecture and finishes of the workspace. Visual Comfort & Co. fixtures seamlessly complemented the design, enhancing the overall aesthetic. In the private offices, the Zhane 49” Linear Suspension adds a sleek, modern touch. Its glare-free diffuser casts an elegant light, enhancing the open feel created by glass walls and underscoring the refined yet functional feel of the workspace.
The earthy tones of the work café are punctuated by the Brummel Grande Pendant by Sean Lavin, which features an angular spun-metal shade in black, while the burnished brass finish and curvilinear forms of the Nodes Large Linear Chandelier by Kelly Wearstler adds a touch of sophistication befitting the welcoming and stylish gathering area.

The conference room, anchored by the Wit Linear Suspension Chandelier, exudes sophistication. The 108-inch aged brass fixture complements the warm tones of the wooden conference table, bringing an element of modernity and timeless design. In the catering café, the Nodes Medium and Large Linear Chandeliers by Kelly Wearstler function as sculptural focal points. These fixtures, with their milk glass globes and burnished brass discs, offer a bold take on minimalism and elevate the space with their artistic configuration.
A space that reflects Remedy’s brand
The completed Remedy office seamlessly blends thoughtful design with functionality, guiding visitors through a journey from the welcoming reception to the inviting workspaces. Every detail, from biophilic elements to bespoke lighting, reflects Remedy’s commitment to their clients and their brand identity. The result is a workplace that perfectly balances comfort, style, and purpose, exceeding expectations and positioning Remedy for future success.
